Busy Day!!

So I know it has been a while since my last few posts but as you will soon see, we have been crazy sightseers (sans fanny packs :)) Here's what went down...

We left Camp for Saranac Lake to visit Sarah's Uncle Mark, Aunt Heidi, and Cousins Micheal and wife Anna, and Tim. Uncle Mark had been called away that morning so we missed his company. We had a lovely breakfast and enjoyed visiting enormously! So good to spend quality time with family.

We then headed to Vermont. In order to get to Vermont from New York we had to take a ferry across Lake Champlain. It was a blast because we were able to drive our car onto the ferry (I've always wanted to do that!). The views once again were stunning.

We decided to stop in Burlington for a quick lunch and found the coolest little city to walk around in. We wish we had more time but loved what we did have.

Then we headed to the main event... THE BEN AND JERRY'S ICE CREAM FACTORY! It was everything I hoped for and more. There was only a short wait for the tour, the video history was funny, the actual tour was 'sweet' and naturally we got to sample ice cream. We were able to try out a new flavor, 'Late Night Snack' by Jimmy Fallon. (Vanilla Ice Cream with Carmel Swirll and chocolate covered potato chips). It. Was. Amazing! I actually ordered it at a different Ben and Jerry's in Maine. We took tons of pictures and enjoyed feeling like we were on The Food Network. I even got to visit the ice cream grave yard to say goodbye to one of my favorite flavors.

The day topped off with a visit to a place most people wouldn't put on their itinerary. Lake Winnepasaukee, New Hampshire. If you have ever seen 'What About Bob?' with Bill Murray then you know what we are talking about. If you haven't seen it, go rent immediately and watch it. The movie is hilarious and a common lingo between Eddie and I. We were in heaven being where Bob was :) Baby steps... I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful... Is this hand shucked...On a vacation from my problems...Dr.Marvin, Dr. Leo Marvin...
