Outrageous, Inviting and Unexpected

I know we've been MIA the last few days, but we have been thoroughly enjoying our time at Biltmore and when you really start to relax, it's hard to do anything else. Before we post about Biltmore, we need to catch up with a few family members.

We left CT and started on what would be the WORST day of driving for us on this trip, and probably ever in our lives. I officially hate NYC, all of Jersey, Delaware, and most of VA. Well, to be exact we hate I-95. Horrid, horrid, horrid. When it takes you an hour to go 13 miles you tend to go insane a little bit. Our goal was to make it to Richmond, Va to hang with the Artus side of the family. Should have taken 6 hours. We spent 9 in the car. Ahhh! All I can say is it is over. Moving on...

We had a spectacular time with my cousins and Aunt and Uncle. A wonderful meal accompanied by calming wine made for a wonderful end to a traumatizing day. We spent the night with Aunt Karen and Uncle Rick. They really should go into business for a Bed and Breakfast. Fab hosts!!

After a lovely time with the Artus' we headed to Concord, NC for some family time with Aunt Linda's family. Again, fabulous time and they should go into business for bed and breakfast. Aunt Linda was so sweet to help us start the celebration for our 1 year anniversary. Wonderful.

We unexpectedly visited a race track. It was so amazing to see the cars up close. I think we have a greater appreciation for NASCAR. I mean really, one of our favorite unexpected things. Plus, we got to see the largest TV in the US. Sweet!
